6G Plus Digital Twin Technology Will Speed Development Of Both

Even as 5G cellular network deployments continue to ramp up within the U.S. and worldwide, major academic programs, research institutes, and commercial R&D operations are turning their focus toward deeper investigations into the promise and realization of 6G technology. Significant government investments have already occurred, and they’re expected to increase dramatically over the next few years. Nations are jockeying for a leadership position in 6G for both commercial and military use cases and seeding early explorations into technology and applications.¹

The significant expansions anticipated in all of the usual metrics of cellular communication, including capacity, latency, device density, connection reliability, and other technology growth markers, is well documented.² Also noteworthy is the burgeoning growth in the number and diversity of devices coming online via the rapidly expanding IoT.

Of course, to name a few areas of substantial growth, these will require significant technology breakthroughs in chipset design, antenna technology, ML-embedded networking, and real-time machine learning.

Gatestone Institute : This #war has to be fought in numerous battlefields and against many #enemies that, though united in their efforts to #destroy #democratic #societies, first among them the US, use a bewilderingly wide range of weapons and tactics.

The George W. Bush administration opened the #military theater of this war by “liberating” #Afghanistan and #Iraq and seeking to #destroy the #terrorists nested there.

But this is a war that must also be fought in #diplomatic, #cultural, #religious, and, above all, #political #battlefields. In all those theaters the #US needed, and could have found, #allies, including among a majority of the #Muslims who have been the first #victims of terror. The #commission made no suggestions about how to engage in those battlefields, who to choose as allies and whom to identify as #neutrals or foes.

Now, this enemy does not grow on trees. He is a #citizen of a state, has bases and safe havens not in space, but in real countries, and uses all the facilities of the #modern #global system. It was astonishing that the 9/11 Commission chose to fly over all that. It discovered extensive contacts between al-Qaeda and 24 governments in #Europe, #Africa, the #MiddleEast and #Asia.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared Saturday that Iran “won’t surrender” to the #UnitedStates, #accusing #Washington of targeting civilians and trying to force the country into #submission.

“If #Americans are warriors, let them face our valiant military forces. Why wage war on civilian #infrastructure, food supplies, and livelihoods? If they’re human, why deny #people #access to water, food, and medicine? Our people can’t be bullied into submission. Iran won’t surrender,” Pezeshkian wrote on X.

The defiant message followed similar remarks Pezeshkian delivered Friday in New Delhi, where he is #attending the BRICS summit amid the continuing war with the United States and #Israel.

“Iran has successfully stood against Israel and the U.S.,” Pezeshkian said while addressing a gathering of Indian #religious #leaders, intellectuals, and business #representatives.

“Since we are seeking truth and #justice, we will not yield in front of bullying #arrogance,” he said.

The strike came as #Washington and #Tehran had both suspended a June interim #agreement.

#Evidence that Tehran was drawing on Chinese #technology during the conflict had emerged months before the deadly strike. The Financial Times reported in April that Iran was using a Chinese-built and -launched spy #satellite purchased by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Aerospace Force from Earth Eye Co. in late 2024.

Muwaffaq Salti Air Base was targeted again by #Iran on Thursday, in a strike that reportedly damaged several US aircraft, though Trump denied that any planes sustained damage.

US Vice President JD Vance reportedly sought direct insight from American generals on the war against Iran, seeking to bypass the #Pentagon amid his skepticism of the extended #military conflict.

A New York Times report says the VP was seeking direct intel from military commander on “objectives, tactics, casualty estimates, what the Iranians would do in the Strait of Hormuz.”

According to the report — citing “more than half a dozen” current and former officials, the commanders warned Vance about severely depleted #military stockpiles, as well as the Iranian regime’s willingness to dig in for a major and drawn-out fight.

The newspaper says that the “sobering private #assessments” received by Vance were often quite different from the often #boastful public #rhetoric coming from President Donald Trump.
