Contrary to popular belief, if Jesus walked into a church, I doubt that we would applaud His presence.Although that’s not a bad thing, you would probably find yourself in the same position as Isaiah: “Woe is me, for I am undone!”

Our posture would be of complete unworthiness. We would no doubt hit the floor because of adoration and holy fear: “The brightness is blinding; the sound is deafening; the purity is devastating. The lights have been turned on with blazing intensity, and we stand trembling, naked, unclean, and ashamed.” (Dr. Michael L. Brown).

Isaiah saw the King … the Lord of hosts. The word “hosts”means the “God of the armies of heaven.” What an awesome spiritual experience and perspective. What army can defeat the armies of heaven? What demon can overpower God’s generals? Nothing can defeat God. He is God of the armies of heaven.

Isaiah said that he “saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple” (6:1). What a wonderful picture of His majesty and His power. The size of the train on a robe would often match the authority of the king. God’s train filled the entire temple. What an awesome sight to behold! No better words could have been chosen — God Almighty rules and reigns.

Isaiah also saw amazing six-winged creatures known as seraphim. Their cry should be our cry as well when we truly experience God: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!”

It’s not by chance that moral purity encompasses the rhythm of their soul.Of all the attributes of God, holiness is mentioned more frequently than the others. Even the posts of the door of the temple responded to the cry of holiness. So powerful was the declaration that the entire entrance was shaken by the voices who cried, “Holy, holy, holy.” Let those words sink in!

All marriages go through periods of disconnection. Disconnection is a normal marital occurrence. Children, careers, extended family, and other daily obligations become detractors in marriage. When this happens, the person who gets their sense of self worth from their partner will take this disconnection personally. They will tell themselves, “He doesn’t notice me anymore, so he must not think I’m attractive.” Or, “She’s so busy with the kids, she doesn’t care about me.” This person may then seek recognition and attention outside the marriage. They constantly need reassurance, which if they don’t recieve from their spouse, they may seek from someone who provides that kind of feedback and attention outside the relationship.

People with an internal sense of self worth view neglect as part of marriage and will take steps to reconnect with their partner. Again, disconnection in marriage is normal.

It’s important to understand that this is only one potential vulnerability to an affair. But if you recognize that you do not have an internal sense of self worth, for yourself and the sake of your marriage, it is important to work on this. Know your strengths and the value you bring to life and your marital relationship. When you feel your partner turning away from you, don’t take it personally. There is nothing wrong with you. You are lovable, valuable, and important even if someone doesn’t always recognize it. Learning to love yourself from the inside helps you become a more stable partner in the marriage and less vulnerable to infidelity.

Peter Adrian, head of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), is reportedly coming to grips with the fact that Germany will collapse without Russian energy.

It was all fun and games poking the Russian bear for political points. But now that the Nord Stream 1 (NS1) pipeline has been turned off and hyperinflation looms, the only thing Germany has to look forward to is racing straight to the bottom.

“More and more companies are telling us that they no longer have a supply contract for electricity or gas at all,” Adrian told RND newsroom. “The tap is turned off in the truest sense of the word. But without energy, no economy can run.”

One such company is Hakle, a toilet paper company that recently filed for bankruptcy citing unsustainable energy and material costs. The steel and non-ferrous metals industries are also on the verge of a collapse, requiring cheap and abundant natural gas in order to maintain production.

“Other sectors, such as chemical production, agriculture, and automating are all facing unprecedented hurdles as the energy crisis continues to grip Europe,” reports REMIX.

Amtrak announced cancellations of all long-distance train routes this week ahead of a nationwide railroad strike that could begin as soon as Friday.

BNSF, CSX, Norfolk Southern, and Union Pacific announced embargoes on certain shipments earlier this week as negotiations continue with multiple rail unions. Amtrak, whose employees are not involved with the negotiations, operates largely on track maintained and dispatched by freight companies.

Amtrak is “hopeful that parties will reach a resolution,” although the company “has now begun phased adjustments to our service in preparation for a possible freight rail service interruption later this week,” according to a statement provided to Reuters.

Trains servicing Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, San Antonio, New Orleans, San Francisco, and other major cities are subject to cancellation. Amtrak will only operate trains this week if they “will have enough time to reach their final destinations” before Friday.

Prominent evangelical leader Franklin Graham says that the Democratic Party is “opposed to faith” and warns that the left will “close the Church down in many places” should the United States fall into the embrace of socialism. 

Graham, the president of Samaritan’s Purse and the son of famed evangelist Billy Graham, sat down with CBN News correspondent David Brody last Friday to discuss the Democratic and Republican conventions that took place over the past two weeks.

He also discussed his upcoming Washington Prayer March that will take place at the end of September in Washington, D.C.

“The Democrats, if anything, they are opposed to faith,” Graham asserted after being asked to compare and contrast the major parties’ positions on faith.

The Florida high school teacher charged with having $ex with a student waited for her wife to go out of town before hosting the teen, according to new court documents, which also revealed racy text messages between the pair.

Jamie Melton, an English teacher at Tampa’s renowned Carrollwood Day School, told the teen that her spouse would be out of town on several dates and the victim told police that they planned to meet, the warrant said.

The victim went to Melton’s home last Friday, where the teacher laid down on her bed before the teen climbed on top of her and the pair began to kiss, court papers state.
