#Acts 5:29

While #believers are commanded to “ #submit ” to earthly government, that is not always the same as “ #obeying ” #government.
#Peter and the other #apostles live out a clear example of this in the early chapters of the book of #Acts.

Being content with our Lord’s #graciousness is the key to a #peaceful life.
In this verse, Paul says that he can do anything, and go through anything #God sets before him because he knows the #Lord will provide the strength to complete that #trial.
We too can do whatever God sets before us if we trust the Lord to provide.
It may not be easy as it reads here, but it’s definitely worth it.

He came to #earth to #fulfill His #heavenly Father’s will no matter how #painful the task set before Him.

This verse gives us hope that if we #submit ourselves to #God and #resist the #devil, he’ll surely depart from us.
In this verse, James’s promise is clear.

When most people hear the word “submit,” the first thing that comes to mind is doing something against their will, or being forced into a particular situation.
But submission isn’t about giving in to someone else’s demands or being a doormat.
It’s actually quite the opposite.
In the #Bible, submission is closely related to #obedience.
It’s about willingly following God’s leading, no matter what the cost.

When we submit to Him, we’re saying that we trust Him and His plan for our lives even when we don’t understand it.
And as we do this, we experience His love and #protection in a deeper way.

This is one of the great ironies of #Bible #prophecy.
The world’s ultimate #tyrant may initially be celebrated as its greatest problem solver.
He may speak about #peace, #cooperation, #stability and #security.
He may appear uniquely capable of bringing order from #chaos.
And successful #deception requires appearing to be something you are not.
