Alligator enters Louisiana home through doggy door By Ben Hooper

June 30 (UPI) — A couple who recently relocated from Arizona to Louisiana got the “full Cajun experience” when their dog alerted them to an alligator inside their home.

Don and Jan Schultz, who recently moved into their New Iberia home, said they were awakened by their 7-year-old Australian cattle dog, Panda, growling.

“Our dog Panda growled a deep throat grumble and woke my wife up and she tapped me said I think there’s someone in the house and so I got up headed down the hall to check,” Don Schultz told KATC-TV. “I saw the shape of an alligator.”

The couple called 911, and Wildlife and Fisheries officers responded to their home.

“We are real grateful for the Sheriffs and Wildlife and Fisheries that came and so thoroughly dispatched the creature from our house,” Jan Schultz said. “I guess it’s off swimming in a bayou somewhere.”

The couple said the 5-foot gator apparently came in through Panda’s doggy door. They said they have now installed a new doggy door that only opens for Panda’s collar.

“It was quite an experience, we’re getting the full Cajun experience,” Dan Schultz said.

Cattle truck collides with semi hauling burritos on Nebraska highway By Ben Hooper

June 30 (UPI) — A beefy mess was left on a Nebraska highway when a cattle truck and a semi hauling a load of burritos collided, police said.

The Nebraska State Patrol said the burrito truck slowed for traffic on westbound Interstate 80, between Lincoln and Emerald, and was rear-ended by the cattle truck.

The cattle truck, carrying a load of about 60 cows, ended up in the ditch, and several boxes of frozen burritos ended up in the roadway.

Police said neither driver was seriously injured. The cattle were offloaded into another truck to continue their journey.

The stretch of highway was closed for about seven hours for clean-up operations.

I went for a cigarette break — and ended up with a broken neck By Jane Herz June 21, 2023

A UK woman went outside for what she thought was a relaxing cigarette break — but it ended up changing her life forever.

In 2019, Cary Edby was nearly paralyzed after she lost her footing and fell 12 feet a few days before Christmas. She landed face first in a gap near the basement apartment below her.

“I went outside for a cigarette and lost my balance and summersaulted over the wall,” Edby, 25, told Southwest News Service. “When I fell, I couldn’t talk or move.

“I thought, ‘This is it — I’m paralyzed.’ I wanted to call for help, but I couldn’t open my mouth.”

After she was able to call for help, two strangers miraculously heard her soft cries, and they found her mom, Diane Dee, 59, as she was still in the house.

I tripped over my dog while jogging — now my face is falling off the bone By Alex Mitchell June 26, 2023

A freak accident left a Delaware woman with portions of her face “falling off” after taking a nasty spill while on a jog with her dog.

Shelley Puchalsky, 39, tripped over the Shih Tzu, Chloe, and plummeted face forward on a trail, suffering multiple major lacerations to her nose and forehead.

Although it happened in September 2019, complications from the hellish wound have been a living, recurring nightmare for Puchalsky, who now lives in St. Pete Beach, Florida, for insurance reasons.

“I had to get [40] stitches, and they became infected and wouldn’t heal. I went to a doctor who said he could help me, so he did a skin graft over my nose and restitched my forehead,” Puchalsky told Kennedy News and Media.

11-year-old boy killed in freak ATV crash after dog steps on gas By David Propper June 28, 2023

A family trip in West Virginia ended in “heartbreaking” grief when an 11-year-old boy was killed in a freak ATV crash that was caused by a pet dog stepping on the gas pedal.

The 11-year-old, who was from Ohio, was killed Monday afternoon after the rugged side-by-side four-wheeler he was in with his 12-year-old brother and their cousin’s 18-year-old boyfriend went over an embankment, a Kermit Volunteer Fire Department official told WSAZ.

Assistant Fire Chief Wayne Williamson said the family pup was riding with the boys in the ATV when he jumped on the floorboard and hit the accelerator pedal, causing it to veer off the road and violently crash.

“Who would have ever thought a house dog would jump down in the floorboard of a side-by-side and do that?” Williamson said.

I’m lucky to be alive after sustaining ‘car crash injuries’ tripping over my cat By Ben Cost November 14, 2022

He suffered cat-astrophic injuries.

A UK man miraculously survived after sustaining a broken neck, fractured spine, smashed ribs, blood in his lungs and other “car crash”-evoking injuries from — wait for it — tripping over his cat.

“I can’t remember much, just falling fast — it was quick and it was over within seconds, then I was at the bottom,” victim Chris Rowley, 59, told the Mirror.

The freak “Apocalypse Meow” accident reportedly occurred on the evening of Oct. 23 while the Leicestershire-based professional musician was home alone with his hairless Egyptian sphinx kitten, Eric Morecambe.

Disaster struck after the wrinkly kitty, apparently feeling playful, dove out and latched onto one of its owner’s legs while he was coming down the stairs.

“It took a bit of a chunk out my leg then I lost my footing,” described Rowley, who reportedly tumbled down 14 steps before arriving at the bottom, where he lay unable to move when his feline put the “hell” in Hello Kitty.

Alligators in the sewer myth is true: City workers find out in jaw-dropping video

New York might not have those infamous “alligators in the sewer” — but Florida has the real thing.

A work crew in Oviedo, Florida proved the NYC urban legend was a Sunshine State reality after discovering an 5-foot gator residing in a sludge-filled pipe.

Footage of the scaly subterranean terror is currently stirring up a crapstorm on the City of Oviedo City Administration Facebook page.

“Just another reason not to go wandering down into the stormwater pipes!” a spokesperson said of the new underground sensation, which was spotted Friday during a routine pothole inspection.

A public works team had dispatched a robot equipped with a camera to get to the root of why a cluster of craters kept appearing on the road above, according to a Jam Press report.

The workers soon found something far more terrifying lurking beneath the surface.

Signs there is a Spiritual Attack against you

Anyone who has done anything for God has had to deal with spiritual attacks. Although they are an inevitable part of life, knowing how to use our spiritual weapons can be the difference between victory and defeat.

In order to realize our need to use the spiritual weapons of our warfare more, we need to be able to recognize when indeed it is an attack from demons that we are facing. When we are under attack, we won’t always FEEL like doing the things we really should to shield ourselves and fight back.

This is why we need discipline. God can and will turn things around if we do the basic things in the Word. We do need to submit to God in this way. Then we can resist the devil and he will flee from us.

I hope this video helps you.

Michael
