Alligators in the sewer myth is true: City workers find out in jaw-dropping video

New York might not have those infamous “alligators in the sewer” — but Florida has the real thing.

A work crew in Oviedo, Florida proved the NYC urban legend was a Sunshine State reality after discovering an 5-foot gator residing in a sludge-filled pipe.

Footage of the scaly subterranean terror is currently stirring up a crapstorm on the City of Oviedo City Administration Facebook page.

“Just another reason not to go wandering down into the stormwater pipes!” a spokesperson said of the new underground sensation, which was spotted Friday during a routine pothole inspection.

A public works team had dispatched a robot equipped with a camera to get to the root of why a cluster of craters kept appearing on the road above, according to a Jam Press report.

The workers soon found something far more terrifying lurking beneath the surface.

Day 6: Lord, Help Me Enjoy Resting

Meditate on this Bible verse:

Psalm 23:1-2: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.”

And pray:

  • That the Lord would help you sense His presence with you, so that you really feel Him and His sweet companionship and watchcare.
  • That the Lord would help you hear what He is saying to you in this season.
  • That He would provide all your needs abundantly as you rest in this season.
  • That He would help you to lie down and embrace peaceful places.
  • Confess to the Lord that you struggle with resting (if you do struggle). Ask Him to convict you of your need to rest.
  • Ask Him to remove your anointing to work, if He needs to or desires to, in order to help you rest awhile.
  • Ask Him to give you the desire to rest–both for its own sake, and for the sake of obeying Him.
  • Ask Him to help you enjoy resting.
  • Ask Him to help you eliminate the distractions that surround you (turning off your phone, the TV, etc.).
  • Ask Him to help you embrace stillness.
  • Ask Him to increase your appetite and attention span for prayer and studying the Word.

As a reminder, always pray in every way the Lord leads you. Holy Spirit is your intercessor (Romans 8), and He will help you pray just exactly the way HE wants you to.

So use your own words; ask Holy Spirit to help you; and simply receive from Him as He prays through you the heart of the Father!

Day 5: Prayer to Hunger for More of Jesus

Meditate on this Bible verse:

John 7:37-38: “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

And pray this:

  • Ask Father to make you hungrier and thirstier for Jesus than you’ve ever been.
  • Tell Jesus that you’re coming to Him to drink. Then, stop for awhile and receive; let Him touch you.
  • Ask Father to strengthen your faith; to help you believe in Jesus more than you have ever believed in Jesus.
  • Ask Father God to make you hungrier for the rhema Word of God, since faith comes by hearing by the Word of God.
  • Ask Father God and Jesus to baptize you anew and afresh with His Holy Spirit and fire.
  • Pray that Holy Spirit would flow out of your belly in rivers of living water.

As a reminder, always pray in every way the Lord leads you. Holy Spirit is your intercessor (Romans 8), and He will help you pray just exactly the way HE wants you to.

Day 4: Turn to Jesus

Meditate on this Bible verse:

Matthew 11:28-30: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

And pray this:

  • Ask Father to help you make Jesus the first Person you turn to for rest and comfort, instead of turning to friends, food, or other outside sources of comfort.
  • Ask Jesus to give you rest.
  • Ask Jesus to specifically give you rest in your mind for your wearied, fried, stressed-out thoughts.
  • Ask Jesus to specifically give you rest in your body; that your body would release the stress you’ve been under to Him, and that He would take it away and prevent the stress from making you sick or otherwise impacting your body.
  • Ask Jesus to give you rest in your spirit.
  • Ask Him to help you commune with Him and to lay all your worries, cares, and labors aside for a season to simply rest.
  • Ask Jesus to refresh you in your will—in your ability to make decisions that are godly, healthy, purposeful, aligned with the right priorities, and restful.
  • Ask Him to help you listen to, pay attention to, and receive His teachings—and to obey them all.

Day 3: Light In the Darkness

Meditate on this Bible verse:

1 Corinthians 4:6-10: “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.”

And pray this:

As a reminder, always pray in every way the Lord leads you. Holy Spirit is your intercessor (Romans 8), and He will help you pray just exactly the way HE wants you to.

So use your own words; ask Holy Spirit to help you; and simply receive from Him as He prays through you the heart of the Father!

21 Days of Hope and Healing, Day 1

Each day in this series has only two parts: one verse to read and a set of very simple, bullet-point prayer suggestions you can pray through from that verse to ask the Lord to heal and refresh you.

This series is designed to help you pray for hope and healing in your body, soul, and spirit. All three are equally important!

Here’s Day 1 of Hope and Healing:

Meditate on this Bible verse:

2 Peter 1:19: “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts …”

And pray this:

  • For Father to confirm the prophetic words He has spoken to you throughout the course of your life;
  • For Father to help you heed and honor the prophetic words that have been spoken into your life;
  • That His light would shine into every dark place of your heart;
  • That He would restore your hope and help you see hope in your future and in your circumstances again;
  • That Holy Spirit would illuminate Jesus in your heart more than He ever has before, helping you keep your eyes on JESUS, the Author and Finisher of your faith.

Of course, always pray in every way the Lord leads you. Holy Spirit is your intercessor (Romans 8), and He will help you pray just exactly the way HE wants you to.

So use your own words; ask Holy Spirit to help you; and simply receive from Him as He prays through you the heart of the Father!

That is true repentance in action.

Think about that regarding yourself and where you are today.   Have you done this yet?

The most significant moment in anyone’s life is when God begins to deal with you about repentance. But if you shrug your shoulders and say “well I’m not interested, maybe later”…there’s no guarantee that God will deal with you again,
or that you’ll get another tomorrow.

The most critical moment in anyone’s life is when God deals with your heart. When he says “Come back to me.  I’m willing to take you back.  I love you, I want you.”

One thing you can see throughout the bible that really makes God angry is despising God’s grace. He’s saying to you now: Come to me. Turn to me and let me help you.

If you’ve never known the forgiveness of God that is found through Jesus’s death on the cross and his resurrection, He invites you to come to Him and believe. He paid the ultimate price by laying down His life, as an atonement for your sins to be pardoned by God’s grace for whoever will put their trust in Him alone. Not Jesus plus other religions, or gods, idols, or sins.

But you’ve got to repent and ask Him in; trust what Jesus did on the cross for you (even if you don’t understand it all yet), and stop trying to be ‘good enough’ for God. You and I will never be good enough- if we could have then Jesus never would have needed to die for us.

If you’ve once known Jesus Christ as His son or daughter and you’ve backslidden (walked away from God into sin), come back to Him now. Don’t wait.  Repent of your wayward heart.

Either way, I hope you will take some time with Almighty God who is right there by your side now- waiting. Use your own words to repent- turn back to Him everyday for strength and relationship, and away from the life of sin.

11. Does Not Mind Disturbing Others

Do not expect a selfish person to adjust to the people around them. Just like in no. 7, they do not care if they are causing others some discomfort. In fact, they are indifferent to what others need. For instance, they will not bother lowering their voice even when someone nearby is sleeping or studying.

What Is True Repentance?

1) TRUE REPENTANCE is based on a recognition that we have sinned.
It is the supernatural power of God that has been placed in the gospel, which enables a person to repent. (God’s saving Grace)

2) TRUE REPENTANCE also involves a recognition that we are responsible to turn from our sins to God.
Repentance is an inner change of mind resulting in an outward turning back, or turning around,
to face and to move in a completely new direction.

This turning around has three elements.
A turning from sin and dead works, a turning to God, and an intent to serve Him and to obey His commands.
