US Judge Strikes Down Biden Climate Damage Cost Estimate

A federal judge on Friday blocked the Biden administration’s attempt to put greater emphasis on the potential damage from greenhouse gas emissions when creating rules for polluting industries.

U.S. District Judge James Cain of the Western District of Louisiana sided with Republican attorneys general who said the administration’s raising the cost estimate of carbon dioxide emissions threatened to drive up energy costs while decreasing state revenues from energy production. The judge issued an injunction that bars the administration from using the higher cost estimate, which puts a dollar value on damages caused by every additional ton of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere.

WHO Waited Two Years to Admit COVID-19 Is Airborne — But Why? The World Health Organization is supposed to be an “expert” when it comes to protecting public health, but it was clueless when it came to letting the public know how SARS-CoV-2 was transmitted.

Miss a day, miss a lot. Subscribe to The Defender’s Top News of the DayIt’s free.

Story at a glance:
  • On March 28, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) tweeted, “FACT: #COVID19 is NOT airborne.”
  • Aerosol scientist Lidia Morawska of the Queensland University of Technology in Australia said it was “so obvious” that airborne transmission was occurring, even in Feb. 2020.
  • Morawska and colleagues presented evidence of airborne transmission to the WHO in March 2020, including cases of people becoming infected when they were more than 1 meter from an infected person, and “years of mechanistic studies;” the advice was largely ignored.
  • Nearly two years after the pandemic began, on Dec. 23, 2021, the WHO finally acknowledged that SARS-CoV-2 is airborne.
  • The WHO getting it wrong about SARS-CoV-2’s airborne potential calls into question why it continues to be regarded as a global health authority.

It was March 28, 2020, when the WHO — the supposed global authority on infectious disease — tweeted, “FACT: #COVID19 is NOT airborne.”

The statement included a “fact check” box, authoritatively stating that information circulating on social media that COVID-19 is airborne was “incorrect” and “misinformation.”

“The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks,” the WHO wrote. “These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air. They quickly fall on floors or surfaces.”

Myocarditis following mRNA vaccination against SARS-CoV-2, a case series

Introduction

mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have emerged as a new form of vaccination that has proven to be highly safe and effective against COVID-19 vaccination. Rare adverse events including myocarditis have been reported in the literature.

Methods

Data were gathered from the electronic medical record of four patients personally treated by the authors.

Results

Four patients, ages 20 to 30, presented with myocarditis characterized by chest pain, elevations in troponin-I and C-reactive protein, and negative viral serologies two to four days following mRNA vaccine administration. One had a cardiac MRI showing delayed gadolinium enhancement in a subpericardial pattern. All experienced symptom resolution by the following day, and the two who have returned for follow-up had normal troponin-I and CRP values.

HERE’S THE LIST: 1,000 Different Studies Show Extensive Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccines Adverse Events

Are you tired of debating with your liberal friends and family on the safety of the COVID-19 vaccine?

Informed Choice Australia made a list of ‘peer-reviewed’ medical papers submitted to various medical journals, showing extensive evidence of adverse events in the COVID-19 vaccines.

The list only includes the studies made up to January 20 concerning the adverse reaction from COVID-19 vaccines, such as myocarditis, thrombosis, thrombocytopenia, vasculitis, cardiac, Bell’s Palsy, immune-mediated disease, and many more.

Peter Denies Jesus Peter Denies Jesus 3 Times

John 18:25-27 (A) Peter Denies Jesus

John 18:25-27 (B) False Witness

JOHN 18:25-27  25 Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him, “You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it and said, “I am not!” 26 One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off, said, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?” 27 Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed.

These are the second and third of the three times that Peter denies Jesus. (For the details of the first time Peter denies Jesus, see Servant Girl). Luke 22 adds more color to the second and third times Peter denies Jesus:

Luke 22:58-62  58 And after a little while another saw him and said, “You also are of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not!” 59 Then after about an hour had passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Surely this fellow also was with Him, for he is a Galilean.” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” 62 So Peter went out and wept bitterly.

Accomplishments of Peter the Apostle

After being invited by Jesus to come, Peter got out of his boat and for a brief few moments walked on water (Matthew 14:28-33). Peter correctly identified Jesus as the Messiah (Matthew 16:16), not through his own knowledge but the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. He was chosen by Jesus to witness the transfiguration. After Pentecost, Peter boldly proclaimed the gospel in Jerusalem, unafraid of arrest and persecution. Most scholars consider Peter the eyewitness source for the Gospel of Mark. He also penned the books 1 Peter and 2 Peter.

Profile of Simon Peter the Apostle, Forgiven After Denying Christ

Peter the apostle is one of the most prominent characters in the Gospels, a rough and tumble man whose emotions often got him into trouble, and yet he was clearly one of the favorites of Jesus Christ, who loved him for his big heart.

Peter’s true name was Simon. With his brother Andrew, Simon was a follower of John the Baptist. When Andrew introduced Simon to Jesus of Nazareth, Jesus renamed Simon Cephas, an Aramaic word meaning “rock.” The Greek word for rock, “petros,” became this apostle’s new name, Peter. He is the only Peter mentioned in the New Testament.

His aggressiveness made Peter a natural spokesman for the twelve. Often, however, he spoke before he thought, and his words led to embarrassment.

Jesus included Peter in his inner circle when he took Peter, James, and John into the house of Jairus, where Jesus raised Jairus’ daughter from the dead (Mark 5:35-43). Later, Peter was among those same disciples Jesus chose to witness the transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-9). Those same three saw Jesus’ agony in the Garden of Gethsemane (Mark 14:33-42).
