Nearly 30,000 Christians killed in Nigeria in six years

Tens of thousands of Christians are losing their lives to violence in Nigeria, many of them at the hands of radicalised Fulani herdsmen, a new report has warned.

Published by the Observatory for Religious Freedom in Africa (ORFA), the 105-page study examines killings and abductions recorded between October 2019 and September 2025.

It recorded 28,551 Christian deaths compared with 13,224 Muslim deaths during the reporting period.

After adjusting for the size of local religious populations in affected states, the death rate of Christians was around 4.4 times higher than Muslims.

Three quarters of civilian deaths occurred during attacks on farming communities, often involving killings, abductions, sexual violence and the destruction of homes and livelihoods.

Abductions feature prominently in the study. ORFA recorded 34,773 civilian kidnappings, with the “Fulani Terror Groups” accounting for 43% and “unidentified terror groups” a further 49%.

Based on field research, the report further alleges that Christian and Muslim hostages frequently experience different treatment in captivity, with Christians more likely to need higher ransoms for their release and at greater risk of violence and execution. In the case of women and girls, forced conversion, severe sexual violence and coerced marriage were more prevalent among Christian hostages.

The report draws on information gathered by Nigerian partners alongside the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data (ACLED) project, to analyse more than 15,000 deadly attacks and almost 4,600 abduction incidents across the country between 2019 and 2025.

According to the report, 79,323 people lost their lives during the six-year period – equivalent to 36 a day. The total includes 42,033 civilians.

It attributes much of the violence to Fulani terror groups who it said were responsible for 44% of civilian deaths – 18,577 people. ‘Unidentified’ terror groups accounted for around a third (32%). Other killings were caused by Boko Haram (8%) and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) (4%), while 12% were civilian killings.

In the report, ORFA differentiates between armed militant groups and the wider Fulani ethnic community, most of whom it said play no part in the violence.

“Violence linked to Fulani militias is the dominant force behind Nigeria’s death toll,” said ORFA senior research analyst, Frans Vierhout. “The Western preoccupation with Boko Haram is, at best, misleading. Nigeria is incubating a terror network which the outside world has yet to acknowledge.”

The report highlights what it describes as a significant religious dimension to the conflict and describes how a once largely peaceful coexistence between Christian farming communities and Muslim Fulani herders in Nigeria’s Middle Belt has degenerated into regular bloodshed since the early 2000s.

The change has been attributed to the spread of extremist Islamist ideology through the Izala movement, as well as the introduction of Sharia law in several northern states, and what is described as the growing northern political influence of “Fulani ethnic supremacy”, which has paved the way for the emergence of armed ethnic militias.

The report concludes with seven policy recommendations, including greater international attention to freedom of religion or belief, increased pressure on Nigerian authorities to tackle the violence and end a culture of impunity, improved cooperation between federal and state governments, expansion of accountable community policing, and enhanced support for victims through trauma counselling and reintegration programmes.

In light of the debate surrounding truth and biological reality, Trump in January 2025 signed an executive order titled,

“Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism And Restoring Biological Truth To The Federal Government,” Breitbart News reported:

“Across the country, ideologues who deny the biological reality of sex have increasingly used legal and other socially coercive means to permit men to self-identify as women and gain access to intimate single-sex spaces and activities designed for women, from women’s domestic abuse shelters to women’s workplace showers,” the order reads, explaining that this is “wrong” and adding that such moves — namely, attempts to remove the reality of biological sex — “fundamentally attack women by depriving them of their dignity, safety, and well-being.”

“The erasure of sex in language and policy has a corrosive impact not just on women but on the validity of the entire American system. Basing Federal policy on truth is critical to scientific inquiry, public safety, morale, and trust in government itself,” Trump’s order reads, blasting the left for replacing the “immutable biological reality of sex with an internal, fluid, and subjective sense of self unmoored from biological facts.”

A poll in May 2025 found Americans were increasingly rejecting transgender ideology and showed support for how Trump was handling the issue, according to Breitbart News.

Seattle has long been a center for controversy when it comes to transgender issues.

In 2019, a city official was placed on leave after it was reported she hired a transgender stripper to dance topless at a homelessness conference. A Seattle museum in 2022 planned to host a summer camp led by a cross-sex “drag artist” to train children on how to “create your own personas.” And Seattle’s public schools published a lesson plan telling fourth graders to write a letter with advice to a child who knew he was a girl “from the time she was two years old,” Breitbart News reported.

Abigail Spanberger’s Virginia a ‘hotbed’ for illegal immigrant crime, DHS says after latest rape charge

Juan Arevalo Mendez, a Salvadoran illegal immigrant with a violent criminal history, faces rape and abduction charges

After yet another illegal immigrant was charged with violent crimes in Fairfax County, Virginia, the Department of Homeland Security is once again appealing to Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger not to allow the charged individual to be released.

In a statement Tuesday, DHS ripped Spanberger on charges of being too soft on illegal immigrant crime, saying, "Under Governor Abigail Spanberger, Virginia has become a hotbed of illegal alien crime."

The latest involves Juan Arevalo Mendez, a 46-year-old twice-deported illegal immigrant from El Salvador who has been charged with rape and abduction in Fairfax County. Arevalo Mendez was arrested last week in Prince William County on charges of rape and abduction with intent to sexually assault stemming from an alleged attack in Fairfax County last September, according to DHS.

The agency said Arevalo Mendez originally entered the country legally in 1991, but his status was revoked after his first conviction for destruction of property in 1998. He was deported in 2003, illegally reentered the U.S., was deported again in 2014 and illegally reentered again at an unknown date and location.

In addition to the illegal reentries, Arevalo Mendez has a lengthy criminal history that includes multiple convictions for assault, including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, as well as drug possession, obstructing justice, identity theft and larceny.

The same day he was arrested, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged a detainer for Fairfax County officials to hold Arevalo Mendez.

Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis remarked that "DHS is calling on Governor Abigail Spanberger and her fellow sanctuary politicians in Fairfax County to commit to not releasing this dangerous criminal from jail, and to instead turn him over to ICE custody so that we can remove him from our nation and end his crime spree in our country."

Bis added that "Virginia sanctuary politicians need to stop playing Russian roulette with American lives and work with ICE law enforcement to keep criminals out of our communities."

Allyson Conroy, a spokesperson for the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, told Fox News Digital that Arevalo Mendez "remains in the custody of the Sheriff’s Office in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center (ADC)."

Conroy noted that "while it is still too early in the process to know the outcome of his case, ICE has been notified of Mendez’s location at the ADC, and they are able to execute their detainer by responding to the ADC and taking Mendez into custody if and when he is ordered released."

She emphasized that the "Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office does not obstruct or prevent ICE from acting on their civil detainers."

In its statement, DHS criticized Spanberger for signing an executive order terminating the state’s 287(g) program partnering state and local law enforcement with federal immigration authorities, which it suggested is contributing to the crimes.

According to the agency, Fairfax County has been especially hard hit by illegal immigrant crime in recent months. A suburb of Washington, D.C., Fairfax County is Virginia’s largest county by population and has a Democratic prosecutor, Steve Descano, and a Democratic sheriff, Stacey Kincaid. Both have been criticized by local advocacy groups, Virginians for Safe Communities and Victims Rights Reform Council, for their sanctuary-style approach to enforcement.

DHS detailed 17 alleged instances of serious crimes by illegal immigrants that took place in Virginia in 2026 alone. Nine out of those 17 cases took place in Fairfax County.

In addition to Arevalo Mendez, DHS said that in June ICE also lodged detainers with Fairfax County for Nicaraguan illegal immigrant Moises Domingo Rico Rosales, who was arrested for abduction of person with intent to defile and indecent exposure, and for Cristian Wilfredo Alvarenga Aguilar, an illegal alien charged with abduction, assault, carjacking and robbery.

In May, DHS said that ICE arrested Walvin Victor Hugo Garcia after he was released by Fairfax County despite facing charges of raping a child under the age of 13.

The month before, ICE arrested Guatemalan illegal immigrant Roni Mendez-Escobar after he was released while charged with possession of child pornography with intent to distribute. That same month, ICE lodged detainers for Salvadoran illegal alien Israel Christopher Flores-Ortiz, who was convicted of nine counts of assault and battery for groping underage girls at a Fairfax County high school; Guatemalan illegal alien Misael Lopez Gomez, who was charged with murder and felony child abuse after allegedly bludgeoning his 3-month-old daughter to death; and two illegal alien murderers, Maldin Anibal Guzman-Videz and Luis Alonzo Sort-Portillo, who were convicted of stabbing a man to death and given plea deals of five years in prison each.

In March, ICE also lodged a detainer for Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, an illegal alien from Guatemala who was charged with second-degree murder after allegedly fatally stabbing a man inside his home in Bailey’s Crossroads.

Do Help Distinguish Between “If Only’s” and “Guilt”

Try to help them distinguish between wishing it had never happened, in terms of wishing they hadn’t been there at that time, or said what they said, and so on, and it being their fault it happened. Everyone has a basic human right to be free from threat, harassment or attack.

Do Understand

Listen and try to understand why they were unable to prevent it from happening. They may have been frozen by fear, or have been unsuspecting and trusting, or they may have been threatened or physically attacked and may have realistically feared worse would happen if they resisted. BIOWEAPONS COVER STORY: U.S. government admits to “consolidating” weapons of mass destruction for “threat reduction” purposes

(Natural News) The Biden regime’s Department of Defense (DoD) has released a document claiming that the Russian Federation is “spreading disinformation” about the United States government’s weapons of mass destruction (WMD) operations.

According to the regime, the U.S. has been working on “threat reduction efforts with Ukraine, Russia and other former Soviet Union countries.” Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the document explains, the U.S., along with its allies, partners and “international organizations,” has supposedly been trying to eliminate the threat of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons attacks.

“These cooperative threat reduction efforts have helped advance global peace and security, and have supported the global consensus that the world is safer when we work together to increase transparency and reduce the risks from weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs,” the document alleges.
