Russians bought an all-time record number of gold bars in 2022, finance ministry data showed on Friday, as tax cuts on precious metals encouraged people to stock up on bullion as a safe asset.

Moscow scrapped its 20% VAT on physical gold trades for individuals last March in a bid to draw people away from using the US dollar as a safe haven.

According to the data, Russians bought over 50 tonnes of gold bars in 2022, ten times more than the year before. The most sought after were 1 kilogram bars which accounted for about 60% of those sold.

The figures are not yet final and only cover the period ending November 2022, the finance ministry told Reuters.

State-controlled VTB Bank said it sold 33.8 tonnes of gold bars to customers in 2022, with clients holding 50 billion roubles ($711 million) worth of the metal.

Commenting on the German foreign minister’s declaration that Europe is “fighting a war against Russia,” Croatian President Zoran Milanovic said on Thursday that this was news to him, and wished Berlin better luck than in WWII.

Croatia “should in no way help” Ukraine militarily, Milanovic said while visiting the port city of Split. “Do you want us to enter the war?”

Framing the Ukraine conflict as one between Washington and Moscow, he reminded reporters that he was criticized for merely echoing the words of Kiev’s defense minister, about the current conflict being a “proxy war” between NATO and Russia.

“Now the German foreign minister says we must be united, because I quote, we are at war with Russia. I didn’t know that,” Milanovic said. “Maybe Germany is at war with Russia, but then, good luck, maybe this time it turns out better than 70-odd years ago.”

The Croatian president was baffled to hear such a claim from the leader of the German Greens, which he said used to be a pacifist party equally against the US and the USSR, and not from Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Dirty bomb false flag event to IGNITE World War with Russia, but Europe and USA don’t have enough functioning INDUSTRY to win a war

(Natural News) A dirty bomb has reportedly been planted in Ukraine and is about to be donated by Ukrainian forces in order to blame Russia and justify a USA / NATO escalation into World War III. That’s the warning from Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, who has reportedly been making a series of calls to leaders of western nations to warn them of this false flag plot. In calls to Western leaders that included the United States, Britain, France, and Turkey, Russia’s defense minister said Ukraine is plotting a false flag “dirty bomb” attack. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has started warning that Ukrainian forces are preparing a “provocation” with a radioactive device.

Once this radiological attack is initiated, it would of course provide a narrative to the dishonest western press to call for an escalated NATO attack on Russia. Knowing this attack is coming, Russia would be forced into a position of initiating a first strike pre-emptive retaliation, resulting in Russia potentially nuking major cities across the U.S. and Europe. This appears to be the goal of the Barack Obama / Susan Rice / Victoria Nuland / Joe Biden criminal cabal, which clearly wants to escalate this conflict into a global nuclear war so that America is destroyed, covering their tracks for decades of financial looting, kickbacks, bribery, election rigging and other forms of corruption.

Russia knows all this and doesn’t want this to escalate into a global nuclear conflict. That’s why they are sounding the alarm.

Trump Vindicated: Russia Cuts Off Germany’s Fuel Supply In Time For Winter

Nobody can claim that they didn’t see this coming. They could have just listened to the wise words of President Donald Trump and heeded his warnings about being too dependent upon Russia for natural gas. Gazprom, Russia’s state-owned energy company, cut off the natural gas supply to Germany. The Nord Stream 1 pipeline is off through Friday, but some are worried that the service disruption might last much longer.

While the disruption in supply is officially said to be due to scheduled gas compressor maintenance, some believe that there’s more to the story. Gazprom’s official statement notes that service will be restored as long as there aren’t any issues when the maintenance is completed. Some German officials remarked that this might be the Kremlin using the energy supply as a weapon against Germany.

Coincidentally, or maybe not, Russia also stopped the supply of natural gas to France. In this instance, Gazprom claims that it hasn’t received full payment for gas already supplied

 
and that the pipeline will remain off until full payment is received.

President Trump has made several statements about countries that are dependent upon other countries for energy. Germany is a perfect example of what the famous businessman-turned-President was talking about.

The U.S .government-backed Open Technology Fund is paying out money to a handful of American firms providing virtual private networks (VPNs) free of charge to millions of Russians, who can then use them to visit websites blocked by censors.

A Siberian spectral imagery scientist battling late-stage cancer was arrested in hospital and brought to Moscow on accusations of treason, the Tayga.info news website reported Thursday.

He died in custody two days later.

Dmitry Kolker, Ph.D., headed the Novosibirsk State University’s quantum optical technologies laboratory, which partners with Germany’s Max Born Institute and France’s National Institute of Metrology.

“They took a sick man, who was practically dying and feeding through a tube in his vein, from a private hospital,” his son Maxim Kolker told Tayga.info.

Russian Defense Ministry claims shooting down 1 Ukrainian Su-25 fighter jet, 6 UAVs

MOSCOW

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that it shot down Ukraine’s one Su-25 fighter jet and six unmanned aerial vehicles on Monday night.

Russia’s aviation, rocket forces, and artillery hit over 500 targets, ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a press briefing in Moscow.

Also, Ukraine’s 45 command points and 499 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, along with 46 firing positions of artillery and mortar batteries were hit by the Russian strikes.

The rocket forces destroyed 36 pieces of weapons and military equipment, including the Ukrainian battery of the Uragan (Hurricane) and Grad multiple launch rocket launchers, two ammunition depots, and one fuel depot.

“In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 184 aircraft, 128 helicopters, 1,070 unmanned aerial vehicles, 325 air defense systems, 3,342 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 454 multiple rocket launchers, 1,738 field artillery and mortar guns, as well as 3,311 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed,” Konashenkov added.

A single nuclear sub strike would “drown” Great Britain in a “radioactive tsunami,” warns Russia

Natural News) “Channel One,” a Russian state-run media outlet, ran a feature piece the other day outlining how easy it would supposedly be for Russia to “drown” the United Kingdom in a “radioactive tsunami.”

Aleksey Zhuravlyov, the chairman of Russia’s nationalist Rodina political party, explained during the segment that the Russian navy’s nuclear submarines could take out all of Great Britain with one single nuclear bomb.

“One Sarmat missile and the British Isles will be no more,” Zhuravlyov declared. (Related: Russia also says that the threat of nuclear war is very “serious, real.”)

Zhuravlyov’s statements were delivered following the UK military’s announced decision to support Ukraine in the ongoing conflict as opposed to Russia. Great Britain was among the first to proudly announce that it will deliver planeloads of weapons to Ukraine, including anti-tank systems and munitions.

After Zhuravlyov spoke, the “Channel One” segment transitioned to news anchor Dmitry Kiselyov, who described in further detail what a Russian submarine nuke launch would look like:

“It approaches its target at a depth of 1km at a speed of 200km / h. There’s no way of stopping this underwater drone. The warhead on it has a yield of up to 100 megatons. The explosion of this thermonuclear torpedo by Britain’s coastline will cause a gigantic tsunami wave up to 500m high.”
