The Department of Agriculture (DA) is rolling out the red carpet for President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. who will report for work as agriculture secretary on Monday.

DA Undersecretary Zamzamin Ampatuan said the department is preparing for the first day of the Chief Executive at the DA office where he faces numerous challenges concerning the country’s food supply chain and dependency on imported products.

“The preparation is ongoing for his reporting to work at the Department of Agriculture,” he said. “It will be like a getting-to-know scenario.”

Personnel from the Philippine Security Group (PSG) and the Presidential Management Staff (PMS) inspected the DA office in Quezon City on Sunday.
